In the Vegetable Cultivation and Breeding Department, open and protected cultivation of cool climate and warm climate vegetable species, vegetable breeding and physiological studies are carried out by using classical methods and biotechnological methods (molecular, tissue culture).

In addition, studies are carried out on the mechanisms of resistance against abiotic and biotic stress factors.
