Rector - Prof. Dr. Hüseyin YILMAZ

Huseyin Yilmaz, who was born in Konya in 1975, successfully completed his education at Selcuk University Faculty of Medicine in 1998, which he entered in 1992. He started working as a Research Assistant at Selcuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital General Surgery Clinic in 1999. In 2004, he graduated as a General Surgery Specialist from the same clinic with his study titled "The Effect of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) on Intestinal Anastomosis". In 2009, he was appointed as a Faculty Member to Selcuk University Faculty of Medicine, from which he graduated. Yilmaz, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2014 and Professor in 2019, served as the Chief Physician of Selcuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital between 2016-2020.

  Yilmaz, who has produced nearly 200 international and 120 national works in his field, is a member of organizations such as European Society for Surgical Research (ESSR), International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), Turkish Society for Obesity Surgery (TOSS), Turkish Surgical Association, Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and Konya Medical Chamber.

  Huseyin Yilmaz, who is married and father of 3 children, continues to work as a General Surgery Specialist.
