Rector's Message
Our University is one of Turkey's most prestigious higher education institutions with its 116-year deep-rooted history, strong academic staff, and extensive campus facilities. Our University, which has achieved many successes in scientific research, innovative projects, and community service areas, has a strong potential ready to carry this deep-rooted heritage into the future.
In today's rapidly changing world, universities have become not only knowledge transmitters but also centers that implement this knowledge, transform it, and guide society. With this awareness, we are setting out with a vision that will carry our University further. By creating an innovative and dynamic educational environment that aims for excellence in every field, we aim to maximize our University's potential and carry it even further as a worldwide center of science and education. Our University, as an institution that is pioneering in knowledge production, preserving our cultural and social values, and having a prestigious position at national and international levels, will strive to provide the best opportunities to our students and academic staff. In this process, we will take steps that will strengthen university-industry cooperation, support entrepreneurship and innovation, and contribute to both our country and the world with projects that produce solutions to social problems. Additionally, in line with our internationalization goals, we will increase our cooperation with universities abroad and expand our University's boundaries globally through student and academic exchange programs. We will develop new strategies to advance our scientific studies further to achieve world standards in research and development activities and to obtain a competitive position in the international arena.
In this new period, as Selçuk University, we will resolutely progress toward becoming a university that guides the future, produces knowledge, is innovative, research-focused, and serves society and humanity; together, we will walk with confident steps towards a stronger, more successful, and more prestigious future.
