The letter of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education dated 12/06/2020 and numbered 75850160-199-E.35744 regarding the Regulation Amending the Regulation on Graduate Education and Training, which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated June 10, 2020 and numbered 31151, is stated below.

Regulation Amending the Regulation on Graduate Education and Training

ARTICLE 1 - The following paragraph has been added to Article 35 of the Regulation on Postgraduate Education and Training published in the Official Gazette dated 20.04.2016 and numbered 29690.

(8) Higher education institutions may grant a maximum of two additional semesters to their graduate students at the thesis stage in disasters and epidemics, one semester upon their request, and one more semester if they apply again according to the stage of the disaster or epidemic, and these additional periods are not counted from the maximum period."
