Selçuk University's Health Sciences Institute has met international quality standards in doctoral education and earned the "ORPHEUS Quality in Doctoral Education" label, awarded by ORPHEUS (Organization of PhD in Biomedicine and Health Sciences European System), one of Europe's respected academic quality systems. The Institute was included in this six-year accreditation process, spanning the years 2025–2031.

Institute Director Prof. Dr. Fatma Hümeyra Yerlikaya Aydemir emphasized that ORPHEUS is a significant quality system that aims to develop fundamental standards in doctoral programs in biomedicine and health sciences, disseminate best practices, and elevate the competencies of doctoral graduates to international standards. Yerlikaya emphasized that Selçuk University's Health Sciences Institute has successfully completed all ORPHEUS audits and field visits, of which it has been a member since 2021.

Prof. Dr. Yerlikaya emphasized that this label is awarded to institutions that implement high-quality standards and demonstrate exemplary excellence in doctoral education, and commented: “With this label, our students' visibility in the international community will increase, academic mobility opportunities will expand, and new collaboration opportunities will emerge. The successful conclusion of the ORPHEUS process has ensured that our students receive a universally recognized education and has also enabled the international recognition of our graduates' diplomas.”
