About Additional Exams for Students Who Have Reached the Maximum Education Period
Senior year students who enrolled in our Faculty in the 2019-2020 Academic Year may benefit from the Additional Exams by submitting a petition to our Dean's Office.

1- Students who wish to benefit from the additional exam right must pay the contribution/tuition fee for the semester in which they will use this right. (Payments may be made between September 07-12, 2026.)
2- To pass a course in the additional exams, a student must receive a (CC) letter grade or higher.
3- Students who, at the end of the first and second additional exams, cannot reduce the number of courses they have never taken and/or failed to five or fewer will be disenrolled from the University.
4- Students who, at the end of the first and second additional exams, have at least two and at most five remaining courses required for graduation that they have never taken and/or failed will be granted three additional semesters; students with five such courses who did not take the additional exams will be granted four additional semesters.
5- a) Students who have only one failed course remaining at the end of the maximum period are granted an unlimited right to take exams. These students may not benefit from student rights other than the right to take exams.
b) Students who reduce their number of failed courses to one at the end of the first and second additional exams are granted an unlimited right to take exams.
6- Students who, at the end of the first and second additional exams, reduce their number of failed courses to five or fewer must register for courses in accordance with the provisions of the Selçuk University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation and take the exams within the specified periods. These students continue to pay the contribution/tuition fee. However, these students may not benefit from student rights other than the right to take exams.
7- Students who reduce their number of courses to a single course and use the unlimited exam right must be registered for that course. These students continue to pay the contribution/tuition fee. However, these students may not benefit from student rights other than the right to take exams.
8- Students who use the unlimited exam right and do not take any of the scheduled exams for a total of three academic years, whether consecutive or non-consecutive, are considered to have forfeited their unlimited exam right and may no longer benefit from it. Such students will be disenrolled from the University.
9- Students who pass the first additional exam may not take the second additional exam for the same course in order to raise their grade. Students who do not use their first additional exam right may use their second additional exam right. No makeup exam is held for the first and second additional exams.
10- Students who do not take the exams on the Additional Exam dates for the end of the maximum period announced in the relevant Academic Year Academic Calendar approved by our University Senate are considered to have used this right. Petitions may be submitted in person, by courier, or by mail; the original must be delivered to the Student Affairs Office within the specified dates before the exams.
