Disability Awareness Seminar at Our Faculty

Disability Awareness Seminar at Our Faculty. An educational seminar titled "Problems Faced by Students with Disabilities in University Life" was organized for our Faculty's academic and administrative staff by the Selçuk University Disabled Student Unit Coordination. Selçuk University Disabled Student Unit Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Güler took the floor at the seminar, which was attended by our Dean Prof. Dr. Berrin Akbulut, our Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akçaal, and our academic and administrative staff. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güler stated that our University has an important and established institutional culture in terms of awareness towards individuals with disabilities, but that there is still much work to be done. He added, "We can solve the problems of our students with disabilities through the school culture we will create together. The way to facilitate the lives of individuals with disabilities is primarily to increase the awareness of individuals without disabilities as much as that of individuals with disabilities. We must all have this awareness."
