Our Faculty Hosted the Arbitration Congress

The 4th Selçuk Law Congress, hosted by our Faculty, was held under the theme "Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods."

The opening ceremony and the first session, held in our Faculty Conference Hall, were attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ak, our Dean Prof. Dr. Berrin Akbulut, vice deans, faculty members, and students.

The first session, chaired by Prof. Dr. Berrin Akbulut, featured presentations by Prof. Dr. Musa Aygül, Head of the Department of Commercial Law at our Faculty; Attorney Senem Bahçekapılı Vincenzi, Secretary General of ITOTAM; and Prof. Dr. Ersin Erdoğan, faculty member at the Faculty of Law of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

The afternoon session included presentations by Abdullah Yaman, President of the 11th Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atike Eda Manav Özdemir, Head of the Department of International Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution at the Directorate General of Legal Affairs and Legislation of the Presidency; Tülin Kurtoğlu, President of the 4th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Appeal; and Dr. Rahmi Kopar, Deputy Director General of Foreign Relations at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

The congress, which focused on current issues and recent developments in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods, concluded on 14 December.
