"The Kısa-ca International Student Films Festival", 20th of which organized by Selcuk University (SU) Faculty of Communication this year, has started. The festival which will bring together the leading names of the cinema and television world, the veterans of Yeşilçam, short film producers and students will end on May 26.

Many screenings and interviews await moviegoers at the Kısa-ca International Student Film Festival which will be held at Selçuk University Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center and Çatalhöyük Cinema Hall between 23-26 May.

FAMOUS NAMES WILL BE AT SELÇUK UNIVERSITY

Kısa-ca, in which documentary, fiction, animation and experimental films will compete, is considered to be one of Turkey's most established student film festivals. The festival, which attracted a great deal of attention, opened with the documentary Sonsuz Komşu (Infinite Neighbor), directed by Osman Aday. On the first day of the festival, the documentary Pandemi Akademisi (Pandemic Academy) directed by Gökhan Evecen and the documentary Enstantane (Snapshot) directed by Hakan Aytekin were screened. As part of the festival, Coşkun Aral, Aydın Bağardı and Mehmet Ulay will be presented with "honor and effort" awards. The festival will host interviews with many famous names again this year. İsmail Hakkı, Güneş Zavrak, Ufuk Kaplan, Omid Shams, Coşkun Aral, Buse Yıldırım, Duygu Yılmazer, Emrah Çakmak, Aydın Bağardı, Ceren Uysal, Elif Tümen, Mehmet Ulay, Mutlu Ulusoy, Nilüfer Açıkalın and Alper Sarıkaya will share their experiences with the festival audience. On the other hand, Selçuk Kıray, Gürkan Emekçi and Mehmet Koştumoğlu will hold their special workshops for the festival.

 THE FESTIVAL WILL END WITH AWARD CEREMONY

Kısa-ca, which brings unforgettable moments to the audience, will end with the presentation of awards to the films that are ranked by the votes of the jury consisting of academics and cinema worker. During the festival, many productions will be screened free of charge at Selçuk University Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center and Çatalhöyük Cinema Hall.
