Pharmacy Faculties Deans Council Meeting was hosted by Selçuk University. "National Pharmacy Core Education Program" was discussed at the meeting attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.

Delivering the opening speech of the Pharmacy Faculties Deans Council Meeting organized by the Council of Deans of Pharmacy Faculties, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, "Our University, which is the apple of Konya's eye, provides important support to cultural activities and social events in the city. We are trying to create awareness in these areas. We are a University that endeavors to mobilize the city in health, culture and social issues."

                                   "WE USE MODERN METHODS IN EDUCATION"

Emphasizing that Selçuk University uses modern methods in the field of health, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, "We train our students with simulations. We attach importance to university-industry cooperation. Selçuk University has made significant contributions to the industrialization of Konya industry. We are on our way to becoming a strong educational institution. It is very important for the society to come up with a unique higher education model. We are trying to create a strong and unique higher education model in the center of Anatolia by using our national identity and protecting the values that make us who we are. In this sense, Selçuk University is an important university."

                                  "WE TRY TO ENSURE MULTIDISCIPLINARY WORK"

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci said, "We are trying to provide opportunities for the development of multidisciplinary studies. We are doing our best to ensure communication between 5 faculties and 2 colleges in the field of health at our university. We are trying to do something by combining the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Technology. We are taking steps to make the Faculty of Medicine work with Technology and the Faculty of Agriculture work with the Faculty of Medicine. As a result of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Technology working together, this year we reached the finals in TEKNOFEST with the teams of the Faculty of Pharmacy."

In the meeting attended by Prof. Dr. İlkay Erdoğan Orhan, President of the Council of Deans of Pharmacy Faculties and Dean of Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy, and the deans and vice deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy of different universities in Turkey; National Pharmacy Core Education Program, problems experienced in pharmacy faculties and solution proposals were discussed.
