Selçuk University Institute of Social Sciences Director and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Fehmi Karasioğlu's photography exhibition titled "The Colors of the World from Erciyes to Everest" was opened with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.

Selçuk University Institute of Social Sciences Director and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Fehmi Karasioğlu's 45 photographs taken in 20 countries met with art lovers in the exhibition titled "Colors of the World from Erciyes to Everest" opened at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, deans of faculties, directors of colleges, academicians and students attended the opening of the exhibition reflecting the Turkish traces especially in Europe, Balkans and Saudi Arabia.

THE PHOTO EXHIBITION AWAITS VISITORS UNTIL NOVEMBER 5

Expressing his pleasure for opening his first photography exhibition, Prof. Dr. Fehmi Karasioğlu said, "I wanted to share the results of a study I saw abroad where I traced the traces of Turkish history. The exhibition consists of photographs I took with an amateur spirit. I also wanted to reflect my own feelings in the photographs." Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said, "Art comes into play at the point where words are insufficient to express our feelings, information and messages. Artists can express their feelings sometimes with sculpture, sometimes with photography, sometimes with poetry, sometimes with song. We need to give special importance to artists. I hope that artistic activities will continue to increase. Art is indispensable in our lives. As Selçuk University, we will never give up art. I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Fehmi Karasioğlu for bringing the photographs reflecting Turkish traces together with art lovers." 

The exhibition will remain open until November 5.
