Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy attended the award ceremony of the International Konya Half Marathon, which was held for the first time with the slogan "Be in the Center of the Movement".

Within the scope of the marathon, three different categories were held: the 21-kilometer Half Marathon, the 10-kilometer Run and the Public Run.

The Half Marathon, which started near the Mevlana Cultural Center, ended at the starting point. Afterwards, the trophies were presented to the top athletes by the protocol members.

The start of the People's Run, which started in Kılıçarslan City Square and is 2.7 kilometers away, was given by the members of the protocol.

The award ceremony of the International Konya Half Marathon was attended by Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Konya Deputy Selman Özboyacı, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Şakir Uslu, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, General Manager of Sports Services Mehmet Baykan, Chairman of İttifak Holding Konyaspor Fatih Özgökçen and other protocol members.

Registration fees received from the competitors participating in the marathon will be transferred to the SOBE Foundation, Turkey's most comprehensive and largest center in the field of autism, and everyone who registers will also become SOBE volunteers.
