A cooperation protocol was signed between Selçuk University (SU), Necmettin Erbakan University (NEU), Selçuklu Municipality and Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education to organize courses in the fields of "performing and performing arts, music education and personal development".

Within the scope of the protocol, it is aimed to perform, develop and popularize art and art branches in accordance with social values, and to discover and train talented individuals. With the protocol, it is also planned to provide education and training in art and personal development education branches, to organize courses, seminars, conferences, congresses, competitions, panels, theaters, concerts, concerts, concerts, oratorios, meetings, workshops, fairs, festivals, festivals, festivals and similar non-course scientific, artistic, cultural and educational activities. Within this framework, it is aimed to organize stage activities that emphasize the importance of brotherhood, unity, solidarity, love, indivisible integrity of the homeland, sacred and spiritual values and the elements that make society a nation.

Under the scientific consultancy of Selçuk University and Necmettin Erbakan University, expert academicians will be assigned to the training programs to be organized within the curriculum of the Selçuklu Municipality Art Academy.

Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy stated at the protocol ceremony held at the Seljuk Congress Center that as Selçuk University, they see culture and art as an integral part of academic and scientific education and said, "With this understanding, we strive for the establishment of an art academy worthy of our Konya. We aim to raise highly aware, conscious and cultured individuals who love art and perform it in accordance with our social values. In line with this goal, the support we have given to the Art Academy operating within Selçuklu Municipality will continue from now on. I wish it to be beneficial to our country and nation."

Mayor of Selçuklu Municipality Ahmet Pekyatırmacı said that the art academy has recently started its activities. Pekyatırmacı stated that as a municipality, they attach importance to education, culture and art and said, "The training staff of our academy consists of 23 educators, including expert instructors from the Directorate of Public Education and academicians assigned by Selçuk University and Necmettin Erbakan University. Artists, academicians and personal development experts who are experts in their fields and have competence in national and international platforms will also contribute to the trainings as guest lecturers at certain intervals. With the start of our academy, there has been an intense favor of our people. 345 people were registered for the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. We aim to reach approximately 3 thousand people in the spring and summer semesters with the activities to be held in schools and Qur'an courses."

Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu, Rector of Necmettin Erbakan University, said that he believes that the Seljuk Municipality Art Academy will train artists from Turkey and around the world and become a brand value.

Konya Provincial Director of National Education Seyit Ali Büyük stated that the art academy will serve pre-school, primary, secondary and university students and citizens.

Following the speeches, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Necmettin Erbakan University Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı and Konya Provincial Director of National Education Seyit Ali Büyük signed the cooperation protocol.
