Zeliha İlhan Doymuş, the director and presenter of TRT News "Ömür Dediğin" program, came together with the students in a talk organized by the Faculty of Communication with the support of Selçuk University (SU) Rectorate.

Secretary General of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Dean of Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Enderhan Karakoç, lecturers and students attended the interview held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center.

Zeliha İlhan Doymuş talked about her experiences in the interview where she presented excerpts from the program "Ömür Dediğin". Stating that they have been presenting the program, which has a wide audience, to the audience since 2007, Doymuş explained the importance of getting to know the society, determining a topic that will resonate with the society and communicating with people in preparing the program. Stating that they prepare the program in an educational, entertaining and informative format, Doymuş said, "Choosing stories that touch people, especially projects that bring to light the Anatolian values that make us who we are, find a response in society. 'Life You Said' is the biggest example of this."

Giving advice to the students, Doymuş said: "We will travel, we will see, but we will not neglect reading. Getting to know different cultures, going to different regions, talking to different people increases one's vocabulary. Before I started the project, I had a very different outlook on life. This project taught me that life is short. As I listened to our elderly people, I learned that there is no tomorrow. I learned that each individual has a mission, that there is a purpose for coming to this world, that we will all leave a mark in life. Life is not long enough to be wasted. We all understood very well that there is no guarantee of tomorrow, especially during this pandemic process. Let's start doing things that will fill life and give us meaning. Your profession is very valuable; you will share your work with the society. You will receive direct feedback from the society. You are one of the most important elements that will guide society. You need to act with the awareness of this and overcome your shortcomings accordingly. The turning point in my life was the 'Life You Called Life' program. There will be turning points in your lives too. Prepare a good ground for a positive and beautiful path."
