TEKNOFEST Black Sea was opened with a ceremony held at Samsun-Wednesday Airport. Selcuk University, which mobilizes all its opportunities for the young people to whom we will entrust our future, competes with 6 teams in the TEKNOFEST final.

Samsun is hosting TEKNOFEST, organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, with the support of Turkey's leading technology companies, public, media organizations and universities, with the slogan of a national technology move, aiming to transform Turkey into a technology producing society. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, Defense Industry President İsmail Demir and TEKNOFEST Board Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar also attended the opening.

Selcuk University, which has created its technical infrastructure in accordance with scientific projects, competes with 6 teams in the final of TEKNOFEST, of which it is an academic stakeholder. The festival, which will be held between 30 August and 4 September, attracts great attention, and 10 thousands of technology lovers flock to the festival area. In the festival, where many institutions and organizations opened stands, one of the areas that attracted the most attention was the Selcuk University stand.

Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci met in Samsun with the students and advisor lecturers who made it to the finals of TEKNOFEST Black Sea. Stating that as Selçuk University, they are proud to be a stakeholder of TEKNOFEST, which broadens the horizons of young people and encourages them, Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy also said that “Consumption-oriented institutions and societies cannot talk about independence. That's why we have to produce. We will produce technology, we will produce science. When we produce, we can create a fully independent, strong, self-sufficient Turkey. We make all our plans with this motto. The projects we have realized are the proof of the steps we have taken on this path. We wish success to all our students and advisor lecturers competing in the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST Samsun.”
