Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy met with lecturers, members of the Ülkü Ocakları Konya Provincial Directorate and students at the conference titled "Global Powers and the Century of Türkiye" organized by the Ülkü Ocakları Konya Provincial Directorate.

MHP Konya Deputy Konur Alp Koçak, Meram District Governor Ali Murat Kayhan, AK Party Provincial Chairman Hasan Angı, MHP Provincial Chairman Remzi Karaaslan, deans, academic and administrative staff, members of the Ülkü Ocakları Konya Provincial Directorate and students attended to the conference.

In the opening speech of the program held at the Conference Hall of the Konya Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Ülkü Ocakları Konya Provincial Chairman Türker Türkoğlu thanked Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy for his participation.

Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy stated the importance of preserving the achievements of the Republic, developing strategies that will highlight customs, traditions and language, and maintaining family values among the elements of the Century of Türkiye vision. Stating that local and national studies, technological and agricultural activities and production are very valuable in this process, Prof. Dr. Aksoy noted that political stability, strong economy, development of the defense industry, taking an active role both at the table and in the field within the scope of diplomacy, technological power and reputation are among the important issues on the way to becoming a global power.

Rector Prof.Dr.Aksoy stated that it is also valuable to neutralize some terrorist organizations such as PKK\PYD\YPG, FETO and ISIS in the context of the Century of Türkiye vision and global power and said, “Türkiye instilled self-confidence in the Organization of Turkish States.Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Devlet Bahçeli Bey, the Organization of Turkic States helped raise the minds of the people in the Turkic republics. I lived in Kyrgyzstan for 3 years.I have traveled almost everywhere in Central Asia.We had friends with whom we lived in this geography. Their only problem is that they cannot establish a political system despite their independence.Their economic dependence on Russia stems from their inability to determine how and in what direction their destination will be drawn. Today, we see that there is a Türkiye that puts forward a vision that can turn to the Turkic republics, the West and Türkiye together with the Organization of Turkic States, and that can turn into a common economic unity with Türkiye and a military unity in the long term. The fact that these people move away from Russia's monopoly and act together with Türkiye is perhaps one of the most important steps taken by Türkiye on behalf of the Turkish world.Is this enough?It's definitely not enough. The adequacy of this depends on how strong Türkiye is. We can see that the stronger Türkiye becomes militarily, economically and politically, the more it can gain a remarkable position among its neighbors and other international actors.It will increase his capacity to protect his fellow citizens equally.Again, in order to continue the local and national development strategy, UAVs and UCAVs are more valuable than anything else.Perhaps it is an epoch-making turning point in war technology.The successes of UAVs and UCAVs in Karabakh increased the trust in Türkiye."This is the expectation from Türkiye."

The conference ended with Türkoğlu’s presentation of a gift to Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.
