Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy attended the opening ceremony of the "Turkic States International Science Festival" hosted by Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University (KTMU).

Organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkic states, the 100th anniversary of the National Anthem and the 25th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University, the International Science Festival of Turkic States will last for two days. Bureaucrats, diplomats, academicians, representatives of non-governmental organizations and students attended the science festival.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Turkic States Science Feast and Vice Rector of KTMU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Orçan said in his speech at the opening of the program that 41 academicians and experts from 7 countries participated in the event, where 37 papers will be presented in total, and that they organized the event in cooperation with 16 stakeholder institutions and organizations, mostly universities. Orçan stated that as KTMU, with the contribution of stakeholder institutions, they will translate the National Anthem (on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of its acceptance) into 15 languages and publish it as a book.

Minister of Culture, Information, Youth and Sports Policy of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Camankulov stated that the Turkic world is a world of similar peoples. "According to historians, there are more than 300 million Turks in the world. Today there are Turks living in Europe, Eurasia and Asia. Once upon a time we understood each other, now foreign words have entered our language and foreign elements have entered our culture. But what unites us then? It is our roots. It is the Turkish vein."

Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy stated that Selçuk University is one of the universities that support all activities that are closely related to the Turkic world and expressed the importance of continuing to organize similar events in order to increase the unity and vitality of the Turkic world.

Rector Prof. Dr. Aksoy presented a paper on "Transformations in Turkish Foreign Policy" in the Turkey session chaired by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karataş.
