Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy visited Prof. Dr. Turgay Avcı, President of the Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation and Coordination Board (YÖDAK) of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Within the scope of his program, Aksoy also visited Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel, Founding Rector of Near East University.

TRNC YÖDAK President Prof. Dr. Turgay Avcı stated that Selçuk University is one of the oldest universities in Turkey and expressed his satisfaction with the visit.

 Drawing attention to the developments in higher education in the world and in the TRNC and the rapidly advancing dynamics, Avcı pointed out the international accreditations and recognition, and in line with the information provided by Prof. Dr. Bayram Altan, President of the Union of Academics of Islamic Countries, he stated that they appreciated the work carried out by the state universities in the Republic of Turkey within the framework of cooperation with the Union of Academics of Islamic Countries.

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy gave information about Selçuk University and stated that they always stand by YÖDAK in higher education and are open to all kinds of cooperation. Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that they are ready to provide all kinds of support to promote the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and to make it better in higher education and that they will be honored and happy to see YÖDAK President Avcı at Selçuk University.

Within the scope of the program, Rector Aksoy also visited Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel, Founding Rector of Near East University.
