Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy attended the " Blood Campaign in my school " event organized at Ömer Cemile Güler Imam Hatip Secondary School. Prof. Dr. Aksoy, who was informed about the projects prepared by the students and visited the exhibition, drew attention to the importance of blood donation.

Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Red Crescent jointly organized the "KANpanya at my school" program at Ömer Cemile Güler Imam Hatip Secondary School. Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken and Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Konya Provincial Deputy Director of National Education Okan Tekkalan, Selçuklu District Director of National Education Turan Kayacılar, parents and students attended the program. After the marches performed by Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mehter Team, the program continued with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Ali Faruk, a student of International Mevlana Imam Hatip High School.

             THE GOAL IS TO RAISE AWARENESS ON BLOOD DONATION

Özlem Arslan Kuru, Campaign Coordinator of the Red Crescent Konya Blood Donation Center, said in her speech: " Blood Campaign in my school project continues under the roof of Konya Human School. With the campaign that has been going on for about a year and a half, we are trying to raise awareness among children and parents about blood donation.  We also aim to win the donors of tomorrow. We are in contact with many people through these efforts. We see that parents participate intensively. It continues in a festive atmosphere."

Ömer Cemile Güler Imam Hatip Secondary School Principal Sami Doğru thanked the institutions and organizations that supported the " Blood Campaign in My School" event in his speech. Turan Kayacılar, Seljuk District Director of National Education, said, "Our goal is to increase blood donation, which is the shortest way to save lives, by raising awareness in the society together with parents. To make blood donation a habit with recurring campaigns every year. Almost every day a blood donation campaign is organized in a school. Blood donations are now organized in a festive atmosphere. I would like to thank all those who contributed." Later in the program, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Provincial Deputy Director of National Education Okan Tekkalan and Selçuklu District Director of National Education Turan Kayacılar presented the awards to the winners of the Siyer-i Nebi quiz competition organized for parents. Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, who visited the exhibition prepared by the students and received information about the projects prepared, said: "I would like to thank our parents, Provincial Directorate of National Education and Red Crescent for supporting the campaign by donating blood. It is extremely important to organize such events in order to raise social awareness. As Selçuk University, we also support such activities.  In the following process, the Red Crescent Blood Center will start to work actively within our university."
