Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Huseyin Yilmaz has been elected as a Member of the Ministry of Health's Medical Specialization Board.

With the approval of the Ministry of Health dated December 31, 2024, Prof. Dr. Huseyin Yilmaz will assume the role of Medical Specialization Board Member for a 2-year term starting January 2025.

The Medical Specialization Board, established in accordance with Article 369 of the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette dated July 10, 2018, and numbered 30474, is among the permanent boards of the Ministry of Health. The Board undertakes important duties in many areas, from planning healthcare workforce according to needs, regulating and implementing medical specialization education, developing public health awareness to determining healthcare professional standards.
