Rector of Selcuk University Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz, has been elected as a member of the Medical Specialization Board of the Ministry of Health. 

With the approval of the Ministry of Health dated December 31, 2024, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz will assume the role of a member of the Medical Specialization Board for a two-year term starting in January 2025.

The Medical Specialization Board, established under Article 369 of the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette No. 30474 on July 10, 2018, is among the permanent boards of the Ministry of Health. The board plays a crucial role in various areas, including the strategic planning of healthcare workforce according to needs, the regulation and implementation of medical specialization training, the promotion of public health awareness, and the establishment of professional standards in the healthcare sector.
