The winners of the 7th Communicators of the Future Competition organized by TRT were announced. This year, more than 1,300 entries from 121 universities participated in the contest and Selçuk University Faculty of Communication won the most awards. The winners were given their awards at a ceremony.

More than 1,300 works from 121 universities participated in the 7th Future Communicators Competition organized by TRT. Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, TRT Chairman Ahmet Albayrak, TRT General Manager Mehmet Zahid Sobacı, Anadolu Agency General Manager Serdar Karagöz and experts in their fields gave the awards.

5 PROJECTS FROM SU COMMUNICATION FACULTY WON AWARDS

   Rabia Pınar from Selçuk University Faculty of Communication won first place in the television news category with her project "Ru Ru Ru Ru", while Leyla Nur Çevik and Nursultan Ural were awarded third place in the same category with their work "Yeşeren Hayaller". In the radio program category, Sezer Kakız from Selçuk University Faculty of Communication came in second place with her work "Bal'-'Kanlı' Hikâyeler" and Asiye Altuğ came in third place with her project "Noksansız 90". In the radio drama category, Hamza Dursun won the third prize with his project called "Dust and Hyacinth".

     Congratulating the students who won awards in the TRT Future Communicators Competition, Selçuk University Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Enderhan Karakoç said, "Such activities of TRT encourage both our academicians and students. Our Faculty of Communication was the faculty that won the most awards. As the faculty management, we are in serious preparation for the next organizations. We need to improve ourselves in different categories. We need to support our students in such competitions. We are a faculty that emphasizes practice as well as academia. Our students have the opportunity to work in different fields. This is very important in raising young people who can keep up with the age. We stand by all our students with the support of our Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy."

    Prof. Dr. Aytekin Can, Head of the Department of Radio-Television and Cinema at Selçuk University Faculty of Communication, said: "I would like to congratulate our award-winning students and our advisors. Selçuk University Faculty of Communication has become one of the exemplary schools in Turkey with its application units such as ÜNTV, Radio University, Short-Ca Film Workshop, Advertising Workshop and Selçuk Communication Newspaper. We are one of the first universities to have a television and radio. Our students can improve themselves by working in the application units and success comes with it. We invite our new students to work in our application units."
