Selçuk Tıp creates the memory of the health sector
Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine has developed an important project for the efficient use of public resources. With the program called "Qmind (Questionnaire of Mind)", a digital archive can be created instead of paper filing. In this way, psychometric evaluation can be done quickly and completely, and the data pool can be accessed at any time. The program, which will prevent data loss in the health sector, will also provide a serious resource to the scientific literature.
Under the leadership of Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Child-Adolescent Psychiatry, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halit Necmi Uçar, a program was developed to create a digital archive instead of paper filing, to make psychometric evaluation fast and complete, to store it simultaneously in digital media and to access the archive at any time. The project, supported by the university, has been completed and has been in use in the department for about six months. The program named "Qmind (Questionnaire of Mind)" can be downloaded and easily used on computers, phones and tablets. The Qmind program is a candidate to become the digital assistant of child-adolescent psychiatrists in today's world where the winds of digital transformation in health are blowing. Because the Qmind program was a finalist in the "Doktorclub Awards 2021" process.
"THE PROJECT WILL ALSO PREVENT DATA LOSS IN HEALTH"
Stating that the project was started in order to digitize the scales and forms frequently used in the Department of Child-Adolescent Psychiatry, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halit Necmi Uçar said, "We have many forms that we follow patients' depression, attention deficit, anxiety levels, and these are paper documents. We started the project by thinking about how we can follow them in digital environment and how we can prevent data loss. This application, which was prepared within the scope of a project supported by the BAP unit of our university, ensures that all the written documents we receive from the patients and the paper documents brought by the patient themselves are transferred to the online system."
"A SERIOUS SOURCE WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE"
Stating that the desired information can be accessed by entering the code given to the patient into the system, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uçar said, "The most important risk in online applications is patient privacy. In this program, we definitely do not enter the patient's name or identity information. It works completely on code. This system can be used safely in the entire health sector. It is a system that the private sector can also benefit from in the future. Artificial intelligence is now indispensable for the health sector. Big data pools are a must for artificial intelligence. In order to realize these pools, we need to transfer every transaction we make to the online system. If we can make the program widespread, we can transfer the intensive information in our country to the online system and reach the point of providing a serious resource to the scientific literature."
