Selçuk University Faculty of Architecture and Design students won 3 honorable mentions in the Sustainable City Furniture Hackathon organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Youth Assembly organized "Sustainable Urban Furniture Hackathon" for university students. In the hackathon held at Konya Science Center, students transformed their original ideas into designs for the purpose of ensuring that urban furniture, which exists in all areas of urban life, can fight against climate change and respond to the needs of the age and the people of the city. The designs put forward in the hackathon were evaluated by the jury member academicians in the categories of scenario, sustainability, originality, usefulness, innovation, accessibility, manufacturability, applicability, aesthetics, security, cost, storage, layout design and presentation.

In the hackathon, the projects of Berna Mumcu, Sultan Kara and Şule Aygün, 4th year students of Selçuk University Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Interior Architecture, Didar Hidayetoğlu, 4th year student and İrfan Küçükbezirci, a graduate of the department, Umut Görgün, 3rd year student and Bensu Arslan, a student of Landscape Architecture Department, were awarded honorable mentions.
