Academicians and students at Selçuk University Faculty of Architecture and Design design and produce according to the needs of earthquake victims. Completed textile products such as sheets, pillows, pajamas and skirts, as well as donated shoes and slippers, are delivered to earthquake victims.

SU Faculty of Architecture and Design Dean Prof. Dr. Rabia Köse Doğan said: “In the workshops affiliated with the Fashion Design Department, textile products such as sheets, pillows, pajamas and skirts are sewn for earthquake victims with the support of volunteer academicians and students. More than a thousand textile products have been prepared to date. The Handicrafts Department started producing toys for children affected by the earthquake. It was aimed to distribute more than 100 toys. The Shoe Design and Production Department meets the need for shoes and slippers with donations and support. More than 500 shoes and slippers were distributed. "The prepared products are primarily delivered to earthquake victims staying in dormitories and earthquake victims and their companions receiving treatment at our University Faculty of Medicine Hospital."             

   “WORKS ARE BEING CONDUCTED FOR THE LANDSCAPE PROJECT”

Stating that the Department of Landscape Architecture is carrying out landscaping project studies regarding the earthquake park and emergency meeting areas, Prof. Dr. Doğan said, “The Department of Interior Architecture has started interior architecture project work on emergency and earthquake shelter, emergency mobile offices, disaster and earthquake museums. Every department of our faculty continues its production and design activities for earthquake victims. I would like to thank our Rectorate, especially our Rectorate, who supported our work, as well as our department heads, faculty members, students and administrative staff who served voluntarily in this process. Information and awareness activities will begin for students with the 'Emergency Webinar Series'. It is important that these studies are continuous. “We plan to continue in the coming days, weeks and months.”
