Selcuk University organized a panel with ASELSAN

Selçuk University Faculty of Technology organized a panel with ASELSAN, one of Turkey's largest defense industry companies. Representatives of the institution, scientists and students came together in the panel organized within the framework of university-industry cooperation.

 

Organized by Selçuk University Faculty of Technology and ASELSAN, the program titled "ASELSAN and Faculty of Technology Computer Engineering Students Meeting" was held at Sultan Alpaslan Cultural Center. Solution methods for the problems of industry, industry and business life and current software technologies used in the sector were discussed in the panel; Fatih Say, ASELSAN Ankara Electronics and Software Design Director; Ertuğrul Barak, Command Control Product Line Design Manager; Evrim Kahraman, Land and Naval Command Control Software Design Manager; Hatice Baş, Air and Space Command Control Software Design Manager; Yusuf İbrahim Özkök, Embedded and Real-Time Software Design Manager; Mustafa Bayraktar, Software Engineer; Adil Çetin, Software Engineer; Serkan Güvey, ASELSAN Konya Engineering Director; Ümit Mercimek, ASELSAN Konya Program Management - Business Development and Marketing Director; Bülent Işık, ASELSAN Konya Weapon Systems General Manager; academicians and students attended the panel.

 

PROJECTS IN THE DEFENSE INDUSTRY WERE EXPLAINED

 

Following the opening speech of the panel by Prof. Dr. Fatih Başçiftçi, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Fatih Say, Director of Electronics and Software Design at ASELSAN, took the floor. Say gave information about the civil defence technologies developed by ASELSAN, while Ertuğrul Barak, ASELSAN Command Control Product Line Design Manager, explained the importance of command control for the national defence industry and the products developed by ASELSAN in this field. Yusuf İbrahim Özkök, Embedded and Real-Time Software Design Manager at ASELSAN, talked about the projects developed for military equipment used in the field, real-time operating systems, software and testing processes. Serkan Güvey, Engineering Director of ASELSAN Konya, made a presentation on the purpose of establishment of ASELSAN Konya, the establishment process, and the activities carried out and targeted.
