Selcuk University men's and women's teams came first in the Basketball Regional League Konya Group Competitions organised by the Turkish University Sports Federation.

Basketball Regional League Konya Group Competitions were hosted by Selçuk University and Konya Technical University. With 9 different university teams coming together, the competitions were organised in 2 different groupings as A and B.

In the men's A Group, Selçuk University ranked 1st, Necmettin Erbakan University ranked 2nd and KTO Karatay University ranked 3rd, while in the women's group, Selçuk University ranked 1st, Erciyes University ranked 2nd and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University ranked 3rd.

Mustafa Gelen, Konya Representative of the Turkish University Sports Federation, Bilal Yavaş, Provincial Director of Konya Youth Sports Services, Konya Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik presented the cups to the 1st place teams at the ceremony attended by academic and administrative staff and students.

Selçuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Pense of Selçuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Women's Team coached by Assist. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gürsel Oğuz, the men's team was entitled to go to the promotion competitions to the Universities Basketball Super League.
