Selçuk University Faculty of Education 2021 - 2022 Academic Board Meeting was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. Stating that many steps have been taken to keep the Seljuk culture alive, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, "In order for our students to receive a quality education, we act without cutting education and research and avoiding luxury expenses."

"OUR MISSION IS TO TRAIN TEACHERS WITH SELF-CONFIDENCE AND TOLERANCE"

Stating that the Faculty of Education, which was established on June 14, 2018, continues its activities with 6 departments in an understanding of education and training in accordance with 21st century standards, Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa Doğan said, "In our faculty, which has 29 academic staff, 4 professors, 3 associate professors, 18 doctoral faculty members and 5 research assistants contribute to education and scientific activities. We have 454 undergraduate and 75 graduate students actively studying in our faculty. We aim to be an educational institution that adopts lifelong learning and self-renewal as a principle, is sensitive to the problems of the country and the world and produces solutions, is aware of national and spiritual values, has goals for the future, has teamwork, leadership and communication skills, can use educational technologies, can establish relationships between different disciplines and apply knowledge to different fields, and can train teachers with self-confidence and tolerance."

Emphasizing that education and training must be based on a strong foundation in order to rebuild a great Turkey, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, "As Selçuk University, we have carried out many activities to keep the Seljuk identity and culture alive. Our goal is a strong Turkey. During the pandemic period, we took many steps to ensure that distance education can be continued uninterruptedly and quickly. When we started the new semester, we observed that digitalization would pose a problem in raising young generations. For this, we decided that our young people should return to the campus again. We are one of the first universities to start face-to-face education. I would like to thank our senate members who acted selflessly in this regard."

Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that the education and training model combined with reason will reveal a society that has its feet on the ground and rises rapidly. "The way to raise a good generation is through the use of good materials. An education model without emotion, without a cause, without cultural awareness cannot be relevant to us. The culture and identity of Selçuk University is rising again on its own feet. We strive to become a respected university. We work day and night for this. We strive for the society to reach better places. Selçuk University has become a university that is envied and admired. We do not act against the values of the society. We strive to create a generation built on Turkish identity. By saving, not wasting, not cutting education and research, avoiding luxury expenditures, we strive for the development of our students and to raise our university to its feet."
