A cooperation protocol was signed between Selçuk University and AHS Anadolu Industry Joint Stock Company for the development of electric tractors. With the project to be carried out by the Faculty of Agriculture, it is aimed to develop the tractors produced by the company as electric tractors and to increase university-industry cooperation.
Within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between Selçuk University and AHS Anadolu Industry Joint Stock Company for the development of electric tractors, a team of expert academics from the Faculty of Agriculture will provide consultancy services to the studies carried out by the company for electric tractors. Projects will be developed within the scope of university-industry cooperation in consultation with relevant organizations.
“SELÇUK UNIVERSITY IS IN THE TOP 10”
Stating that Selçuk University is among the top 10 in studies on electrical derivatives, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, “Our Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Technology are among our units that have proven themselves in this sense. Our academics here are very experienced. At our university, the work process for electric races has been initiated and we have allocated resources to this field. Our young people strive to produce electric vehicles and participate in races at TEKNOFEST. Our R&D studies on this subject have been continuing for about 1 year. After taking over, we moved the official vehicles to the center and added electric vehicles to our university. These tools will also serve as models for our students. As Selçuk University, we are pleased to support such projects. “I hope the project will be beneficial.”
“WE WILL BENEFIT FROM THE KNOWLEDGE OF SELÇUK UNIVERSITY”
Muharrem Şişmanoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AHS Anadolu Industry Joint Stock Company said: "We decided to take such a step as a result of our discussions with academics. I believe that the project will yield positive results with the knowledge of Selçuk University and our production support. We want to be successful and move forward in this field."
Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu said: "The fact that we are producing tractors as the Faculty of Agriculture will provide an important gain for Selçuk University. It is impossible for technological products to find a market if they are not made upon the request of the farmer and do not meet the expectations of the producer. For this reason, steps will be taken in line with the needs of the farmers and this project will set an example for our other units
