Selçuk University Faculty of Science hosted a workshop and bazaar event with the theme of "Day of Unity" within the scope of support for disaster victims. The proceeds from the event will be donated to Selçuk University Reyhanlı Foundation within the scope of Prof. Dr. Erol Güngör Scholarship.

In the event held at SU Faculty of Science, works were presented with the participation of young disaster victims in the terrarium, scented stone, calligraphy, marbling and gilding art workshops created by the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Konya Provincial Mufti's Office Religious Youth Center. Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, academic and administrative staff and students attended the event.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said in his speech that as a country and nation, they have the power to overcome difficult times. Prof. Dr. Eken stated that Selçuk University also carried out important works to heal the wounds and said, "As the Rectorate of Selçuk University, we organized as soon as possible with the instructions of our Rector and rushed to the aid of our disaster victims and we continue to do so. Immediately after the earthquake, our academic units, especially our disaster-related departments were organized in a short time. They reached the provinces and districts affected by the earthquake and continued their activities and continue to do so. We are aware that we are in a great test as a country. In this context, I present my respect and love to the kind and benevolent people, especially the Faculty of Science, for organizing our event, which is a goodness movement."

SU Faculty of Science Dean Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı emphasized the importance of the spirit of unity, solidarity and solidarity as a nation. Stating that they came together in the event both to meet with young earthquake victims and to benefit academic and administrative staff and students, Küçükkolbaşı noted that the proceeds of the event will be given to students affected by the earthquake through Prof. Dr. Erol Güngör Scholarship.

After the speeches, the opening of the bazaar organized with the contributions of the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Vocational School of Health Services and Konya Provincial Mufti's Office Religious Youth Center was held.
