"2023-2024 Academic Board Meeting and 2022 Academic Achievement Awards Presentation Ceremony" was held by Selçuk University Faculty of Science.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said in the programme held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Centre that as a result of the evaluation made by YÖK, they are the University with the highest number of flags with 37 flags in the Barrier-Free University Awards. Prof. Dr. Eken stated that as a university, they continue to be a pioneer in many fields, especially in vaccine studies, Cerebral Palsy Unit and simulation education in Turkey, and that they attach great importance to TÜBİTAK and BAP projects. Explaining that the Faculty of Science has achieved significant academic and scientific achievements and studies, Prof. Dr. Eken added that the accreditations covering the departments of physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and statistics within the Faculty have been renewed.

Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı stated that they condemned the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza. Prof. Dr. Küçükkolbaşı made a presentation on the aims and objectives, education and training services, R&D, internationalisation, community service, social responsibility projects and strategies as a faculty and stated that they won 3 flag awards in the Barrier-Free University Awards.

After the academic board meeting, which ended with a question and answer session, "The Most Successful Faculty Members, Lecturers and Project of the Year" awards were given on the basis of each department according to the evaluation made by considering the number of projects, patents, publications, number of citations and the highest impact factors for the year 2022 in the Faculty of Science. Afterwards, the faculty members who received a title change were given their robes.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Deputy Secretary General Hikmet Özdemir and academic staff attended the programme.
