Selçuk University Faculty of Communication, 2023 - 2024 Academic Year Academic Board Meeting was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.

Making the opening speech of the meeting held in the Central Classroom Çatalhöyük Hall, Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. İmran Aslan said, "Our faculty is one of the most important faculties of Selçuk University, which is one of the largest universities in Turkey, which provides undergraduate and graduate level education, has proven itself in its field, can combine practice and theory, and is innovative. This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. In our faculty, we have Public Relations, Journalism, Radio, Television and Cinema, and Advertising departments."

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy emphasised that they have put forward a very different vision as a university since the day they took office and said, "As a result of this vision, we are happy to receive the appreciation of these studies with the success we have achieved in the results announced by international ranking institutions. We believed that Selçuk University, which is on an upward trend, will be successful. We do not want our academicians to waste time apart from research, producing scientific and original studies, international projects and collaborations, and raising young generations." 

Stating that they protect the personal rights of academics in order to pave the way for their studies, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, "We value scientific studies. Let our academicians cooperate internationally. Let them participate in competitions. We continue to work systematically in order to state that we believe in the dreams and ideals of Selçuk University and to take part in international standards. We have done this in order to reveal the university and academia in a real sense and to revive the culture and identity of Selçuk University."

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy pointed out that there should be a class of scholars who weave the society together and said, "We need to support the problems of this society. Let's move Selçuk University to such a point that it will be an institution that can be pointed out in the centre of Anatolia and can be an example for Turkish higher education. On the one hand, we produce domestic and national seeds, on the other hand, we conduct research in the Advanced Technology Research and Application Centre. We are a University that is so comprehensive, touches the society and is in the society."
