The protocol signed with Yumak Air Brake Systems was one of the important steps taken in university-industry cooperation. With the protocol, students in the field of engineering are offered internship and employment opportunities.
With the cooperation protocol signed between Selçuk University Technopolis and Yumak Air Brake Systems, which operates in automotive spare parts manufacturing, it is aimed to bring the qualified workforce of Selçuk University to the industry within the scope of university-industry cooperation, to improve the competence and capacity of the students studying at Selçuk University by applying the academic knowledge they have obtained within the company, to organize joint internship programs with the company and to act together in related fields. Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Eymen Yumak Air Brake Systems General Manager Eymen Yumak signed the cooperation protocol. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Teknokent General Manager Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hamurcu, Assistant General Managers Cem Ünal and Ahmet Rıza Balım, Teknokent Project and Business Development Specialist Aykut Alçayır also attended the program.

Selçuk University ranks in the top 3 in Turkey in chemistry and food safety and in the top 10 in automotive in the Higher Education Council rankings. We strive to carry Selçuk University, which has strengthened its infrastructure and gained the identity of a University that is followed, to better places. Since the day we took over, we have been working day and night to ensure that our students receive higher quality education. Founded in 1978, Yumak Air Brake Systems General Manager Eymen Yumak stated that their company started working with a 3-shift system as of February and said: "We have approximately 600 employees. Our investments continue. We will increase our capacity even more at the end of the year. We attach great importance to university-industry cooperation. We have made significant gains through Teknokent. We have a company called Yumak Innovation within Teknokent. We need qualified personnel. At this point, students at the university can benefit from the opportunities in our organization. We are happy to cooperate with Selçuk University, the well-established university of our city."
