Selcuk University Faculty of Islamic Sciences gets its new building
Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, together with Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Konya Deputy Ahmet Sorgun, Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş and Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, inspected the new building of Selçuk University Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
The new building of Selçuk University Faculty of Islamic Sciences, which will be built on an area of 16 thousand 360 square meters, has 34 classrooms, 4 study halls, a library, a meeting hall and a conference hall for 420 people, academician rooms, and a cafeteria.
Governor of Konya Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Konya Deputy Ahmet Sorgun, Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay, Mayor of Selçuklu Municipality Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Mayor of Meram Municipality Mustafa Kavuş, Mayor of Karatay Municipality Hasan Kılca, Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci and Prof. Dr. İsmail Eken. Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Deputy Secretary General Hikmet Özdemir, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş and President of the Islamic Sciences Support and Assistance Association Ahmet Poçanoğlu received information about the project from the officials of the Department of Construction and Technical Affairs.
"WE ARE NOT A BURDEN TO OUR STATE"
Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, "I would like to thank AK Party Konya Deputy Ahmet Sorgun, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Selçuklu Municipality and philanthropists who supported the construction of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences. It is also valuable that such an important work will emerge with the support of philanthropists without burdening our state." AK Party Konya Deputy Ahmet Sorgun said, "The construction of the new building of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences has also revealed the approach in Konya. Central administrations, municipalities, our university and philanthropic businessmen are all working together. Charity services started in Konya are not left unfinished." Vahdettin Özkan, Governor of Konya, said, "Especially when it comes to science, services are not left unfinished. I would like to thank the municipalities and the University, may Allah bless them."
The construction process of the new building of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, which was designed by the Department of Construction and Technical Affairs of Selçuk University, is being followed by the Association for Supporting and Assistance to Islamic Sciences.
