Selçuk University Faculty of Technology, Huğlu Vocational School and Konya Teknokent have opened stands within the scope of Konya Defense Industry Supplier Meetings.

Selçuk University Faculty of Technology Dean Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir said that Konya Defence Industry Supplier Meetings brought together national and international companies, public and private sector representatives, scientists, academics, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations. Stating that he believes that the meeting will make a significant contribution to Konya and its region, Taşdemir said: "In recent years, there have been positive, rapid and beautiful developments in the defense industry in our country. In this framework, the contributions of universities, especially Selçuk University, which has a beautiful and important place in Central Anatolia with its 46 years of experience, are very important. Under the guidance of our Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Selçuk University has been contributing and will continue to contribute to the manpower capacity trained in defense industry technologies. In this context, our academicians contribute to the accumulation of knowledge with their studies in the field of defense industry and provide important support to the trained manpower. Our Faculty of Technology aims to train young engineers who are competent in their fields and have high self-confidence in line with the defense industry targets of our country. We would like to thank Konya Chamber of Industry, especially the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, for bringing together the stakeholders in the field of defense industry."

Prof. Dr. Süleyman Neşeli, Head of the Department of Defense Technologies at the Institute of Science and Technology, stated that their booth was of great importance for them and that they were happy to have the opportunity to exhibit the aspect of Selçuk University related to the defense industry.

Tuğba Karayiğit, PhD student at the Department of Chemical Biological Radiology and Nuclear Defense, stated that they had the opportunity to explain R&D and industry-doctorate cooperation related to their departments.

SU Huğlu Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Akgöz stated that they exhibited the parts they made in the workshops within the Vocational School and the product form of these parts after they were assembled in different weapon factories. Stating that they informed the visitors about their activities, Akgöz added that they signed a "Cooperation and Implementation Protocol for the Training of Qualified Workforce and Facilitating Employment in the Perspective of Domestic - National Defense Industry and National Technology Move" between SU Huğlu Vocational School, Mevlana Development Agency, TRtest Test and Evaluation AŞ, Turkish Standards Institute and Huğlu Hunting Rifles Cooperative.

Konya Teknokent, Konya Selçuk TTO University - Industry Cooperation Specialist Aykut Alçayır explained that they provide services to industrial organizations and entrepreneurs in university-industry cooperation, entrepreneurship, patent and incorporation processes in Konya Defense Industry Supplier Meetings.
