Selçuk University signed two different cooperation protocols with Konya Chamber of Industry and Legal Research Association. In this context, training on human resources management will be provided and students of the Technology Faculty will be provided with the opportunity to do internships in companies that are members of the Konya Chamber of Industry.

A cooperation protocol on education was signed between Selçuk University Continuing Education Application and Research Center, Konya Chamber of Industry and Legal Research Association. Signatures, Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Konya Chamber of Industry President Memiş Kütükcü and Legal Research Association Konya Branch President Atty. Mustafa Acar scored. The protocol will proceed under the initiative and coordination of Selçuk University Continuing Education Application Research Center (SELÇUKSEM). In this context, the Legal Studies Association SELÇUKSEM will provide training on human resources management in the classrooms. Course information will be published on the SELÇUKSEM website and pre-registration information will be submitted to HUDER within the time specified on the website. At the end of the training, a multiple-choice exam will be applied, and the exam organization and evaluation process will be coordinated by SELÇUKSEM. Candidates who are successful in the exam will be given a certificate of education and a certificate of appreciation.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ARE OFFERED TO STUDENTS

“Cooperation Protocol with İntern Engineering and Training of Engineers Suitable for Konya Industry” was signed between Selçuk University Faculty of Technology and Konya Chamber of Industry. With this protocol, it will enable the students of the Faculty of Technology to receive vocational training and internship in companies that are members of KSO for one semester, and the intern students who receive vocational and technical training will receive practical training in certain companies. The signatures of the protocol were signed by Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Konya Chamber of Industry President Memiş Kütükcü. The protocol includes joint collaborations such as directing students who want to receive internship training to suitable businesses and organizing projects, training and career day events.

Memiş Kütükcü, President of Konya Chamber of Industry, who stated that they always put education among their priority work, said, “We have pioneered many studies in this field. We have developed collaborations with various institutions. We also carried out studies with our Selçuk University within the scope of university-industry cooperation, and made joint projects and protocols. Thanks to these projects, both our students were employed and our industrial facilities met the need for qualified human resources. Today, we are carrying out two important projects in order to bring qualified people to our industry. Thanks to both protocols, we will both find a solution to the qualified workforce problem our industry is experiencing in the field of human resources expertise, and contribute to the training and employment of qualified engineers sought by our industrial facilities.”

Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, “Selçuk University is an important education center in Konya. We act with the principle of leading all kinds of work for domestic and national technology. The protocol, which will be carried out through the Faculty of Technology, will contribute to the training of quality engineers of the future. The project we will carry out together with HUDER at the point of service to the society is also very valuable in terms of increasing the quality of education. With the projects we have signed, we aim to transfer the knowledge and skills of our academicians to the industry, to transfer the experience in the industry to our university, and to contribute to the transformation of our civil society in this regard.”

“THESE WORKS WILL BE AN ALTERNATIVE EMPLOYMENT SOURCE FOR LAWYERS”

From Legal Studies Association Konya Branch, President Attorney Mustafa Acar, on the other hand, said, “We saw that our industrialists in Konya lost most of their business cases due to lack of documents, since there were no qualified human resources managers. That’s why we decided to open a course with SELÇUKSEM to train qualified human resources managers. Our industrialists, who have qualified human resources managers, will both keep documents better and keep up with the requirements of the age. There will be a relative decrease in the opening of labor lawsuits and a change in favor of the employer. In addition, this will create an alternative employment source for lawyers.”
