Selçuk University Faculty of Science and Disabled Student Unit Coordinatorship organized an awareness walk within the scope of Children with Leukemia Week.

Academic and administrative staff and students from the Faculty of Science and the Disabled Student Unit Coordinatorship participated in the walk. Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı, Director of the Vocational School of Health Services Prof. Dr. Gülşin Arslan and Coordinator of the Disabled Student Unit Zeliha Üzümcü accompanied the awareness event that started in front of the Faculty of Science with orange balloons and clothes.

Within the scope of the week, the walk organized to raise public awareness about leukemia, to announce that leukemia is a treatable and preventable disease, to draw attention to the difficult struggles of children with leukemia and to support them was held at Selçuk University Alaeddin Keykubat Campus.

At the end of the march, balloons and wishes in orange envelopes prepared to be given to children undergoing treatment were delivered to Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

Every year in Turkey, the first week of November is commemorated as the Children with Leukemia Week from November 2 to 8 under the leadership of LÖSEV.
