Selçuk University staff conducts damage assessment in Osmaniye

A team of 6 architects, civil engineers and construction technicians from Selçuk University's Department of Construction and Technical Affairs are taking an active role in the damage assessment works carried out in Osmaniye, one of the provinces devastated by the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş.

Architect Adem Damar, Civil Engineer Mehmet Çalık, Civil Engineer Sezan Taş, Civil Engineer Fatih Çuhadar, Construction Technician Zülkarni Sezi and Construction Technician Mustafa Özçelik from the Department of Construction and Technical Affairs of Selçuk University are supporting the damage assessment works carried out in Osmaniye under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. Moving in groups of two, Selçuk University personnel are working to determine the damage to the load-bearing systems of buildings in Osmaniye's Bahçe, Hasanbeyli and Düziçi districts and villages connected to these districts. The preliminary report prepared by the team is forwarded to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for evaluation.
