2022 - 2023 Academic Board Meeting of Faculty of Health Sciences at SU was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.

The Academic Board Meeting held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan and academicians.

“WE OFFER OUR STUDENTS THE PRIVILEGE OF EDUCATION AT SELÇUK UNIVERSITY”

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, said: “Since its establishment, our faculty has been operating in a student-oriented manner and aims to train qualified health professionals and scientists in line with our educational mission and vision. Our faculty also contributes to the development of national policies in the field of health. Our faculty offers its students a pleasant and high quality working environment thanks to its experience in areas such as social responsibility projects, community service projects, scientific projects, developing useful models for the benefit of humanity, and innovative applications such as the Selçuk Pharmacy Simulator Unit established under our faculty. In this context, we train health licensees who are qualified in the professional field, who are primarily preferred, who are aware of their social responsibilities, who are sensitive to the problems of the country, who protect their state, nation and flag.” 

“WE SUPPORT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH TO THE END”

Stating that it is not possible to ignore the global crises, Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said at the meeting: “If we cannot create economic savings or policies in line with the global transformation, it is inevitable to be exposed to major crises in the short term. We support scientific research to the fullest in order to build the future of our youth and our university in a better way. Selcuk University will reach a stronger point through these researches in the future. We strive for efficient use of public resources. We act with a management approach that is transparent, accountable and uses public resources where necessary. Fragility within society causes poverty rates to rise rapidly during economic fluctuations. We need to act with a hybrid economy model. On the one hand, there should be privatization, on the other hand, there should be a management approach in which the institutions of the state are involved. Let's establish such a state university so that the children of low-income families receive the same education, and very successful children study here. We have statuses that cannot be compared with other universities. We are the university that established the most faculties and colleges in the districts. You won't find anything like it in Turkish higher education. This university has a mission of transforming society, raising future generations with the values ​​of society, and supporting the work of academics who are devoted to education and science. It is the academics who raise the academic culture of the society. We want to create a great university with a strong and transparent administration that can act as a whole, act quickly.”

At the end of the Academic Board Meeting, certificates of achievement were presented to the academics who ranked in the evaluation made according to the academic performances of 2022.
