Selcuk University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Child Development students signed an exemplary project. In order to increase the morale and motivation of children being treated in the Pediatric Surgery service of the Faculty of Medicine and to accelerate their recovery process, toys were presented as gifts.

Within the scope of the social responsibility project prepared by the 3rd year students of Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Child Development for the Community Service Practices course, various toys were presented to the children being treated in the Pediatric Surgery ward of the Faculty of Medicine.

PROJECT WILL CONTINUE AT DIFFERENT HOSPITALS

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan said, "The project prepared by our students will continue in different hospitals. Raising the morale and motivation of children also contributes to the development process. We aimed to make them happy with amigurimi toys." 

Department of Child Development Lecturer. Assist. Ayşen Kaya said, "We carry out different projects with our students in the Community Service Practices course. We prepared various gifts to raise the morale of children undergoing treatment. We are wherever there are children. We strive for their healthy growth and development." 

WE TREAT CHILDREN WITH FAMILY AFFECTION

Stating that he has been dealing with pediatric patients for 15 years, Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Surgery, Dr. Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatma Özcan Sıkı said, "There are very serious surgeries in our service. In addition to the disease, we are closely interested in the psychology of children. We approach children with family affection. I would like to thank our academicians and students from the Faculty of Health Sciences who made children happy with toys."
