The Inter-University Rugby Championship was held between May 8-11, 2023. Selcuk University Women's 7-a- Rugby Team came second in Turkey.

Women's teams of 7 universities participated in the competitions played at Middle East Technical University Revolution Stadium. Ankara University ranked first, Selçuk University ranked second and Istanbul Koç University ranked third in the A and B groups according to the points obtained in the competitions that lasted 5 days.

Selçuk University Women's Rugby Team defeated their opponents with scores of 32-0, 27-0, 36-0, 32-0, 41-0. The advisor of the student community, whose foundations were laid in 2004 and introduced themselves as Selçuk Kartals, Lecturer Özlem Bilgiç, the coaches İzel Erdem and Kadir Çetin, Ali Tekkulluk, Athletes İlayda Yalçınkaya, Ebrar Yalçınkaya, Rukiye Boyalı, Gamze Güleç, Gamze Özbek, Hacer Aytar, Sıla Özge Öden, Melek Akıncı, Şevval Coşar, Dilara Erdoğan stated that, as the art and sports community, they aim to spread sports and art throughout the campus, with participants from every faculty. Stating that they will be a strong family, the team members thanked everyone who supported them and presented this great success to the university employees and students who lost their lives in the earthquake and pandemic.
