Selcuk University and Ziraat Bank signed a protocol for training and cooperation regarding “Certification Process within the Scope of Young Farmer and Female Farmer Loan Packages”. Within the scope of protocol Selcuk University will provide training for young farmers and women farmers onj small cattle breeding, sheep and goat breeding, broiler small cattle breeding, broiler pumping, beekeeping, greenhouse farming, cute and aromatic plant and child rearing.

In his speech at the protocol ceremony, Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said that they came together for an important protocol.  Stating that Ziraat Bank is a farmer-friendly bank and that Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture is among the well-established faculties, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said “On the other hand, the support that Ziraat Bank made to farmers is indisputable when it comes to loans. It is very important that this cooperation is happening in Konya. Our city is an important agricultural center. It is very important for our farmers to involve in future-oriented productions. I thank everyone involved in the protocol. I wish the protocol to bring luck and be useful for the shareholders."

Expressing his good wishes for the protocol to be useful for Selcuk University, Ziraat Bank and the farmers, Ziraat Bank Konya Regional Manager Naci Çınar said “As Ziraat Bank, we are continuing process reagarding the young farmers, young entrepreneurs and cooperatives and beekeeping sector in Turkey. We are not able to give some loans without being subject to these crediting certification trainings. Particularly, it is necessary for women entrepreneurs and young farmers to be subject to certification training. Therefore, we have loan products with serious advantages for young people and women. Entrepreneurs also have advantages in starting their activities and growing them. Selcuk University is an institution that supports widespread agricultural studies of the region and the country and makes a serious contribution in terms of education. Hopefully, we will ensure that our protocol reaches wider audiences.”  

After the speeches, Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Ziraat Bank Konya Regional Manager Naci Çınar signed the cooperation protocol.

Selcuk University Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu and Ziraat Bank Konya Deputy Regional Manager Hacı Ahmet Şener also participated in the ceremony.
