2022 - 2023 Academic Board Meeting of Selçuk University-Agriculture Faculty was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. In addition, 100 saplings were planted to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the faculty.

100 saplings were planted by academicians and students in the area created for the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture. Speaking at the program, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat said: “I see everyone at the Faculty of Agriculture as one of my own family. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of our faculty. I wish the saplings planted here to remain as a memory for our students and faculty members.”

Making the opening speech of the 2022-2023 Academic Board Meeting of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dean Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu said: “We are happy, honored and proud to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our faculty. We are witnessing 40 years of experience together. Our Faculty of Agriculture contributes not only to education and research, but also to the development of the region and the country.”

Stating that Selçuk University, Turkey's most peaceful University, is taking firm steps towards the future, Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy stated the following: “No one can ignore the success of the Faculty of Agriculture. Our faculty succeeds in being a pioneer in many fields. It has become a faculty that produces and sells its own seeds, and whose scientific studies are resounding. Selcuk University’s efforts and contributions to Konya’s vision that has evolved from agricultural production to defense industry cannot be denied. There can be no talk of ascension where there are no scientific studies, researches and projects. Selcuk University have pioneered these studies.”

Expressing that they are trying to create an exemplary campus, Prof. Dr. Aksoy concluded his speech with the following words: “We want to carry Selcuk University to the next generations in a strong way. When Selçuk University is mentioned, the science center of the region and a safe and peaceful environment come to mind. The support we give to scientific research will exceed 30 million TL by the end of the year. We strive to cooperate in an academic sense to find solutions to the problems of all peoples in the geography reached by the Ottoman Empire. We try to stay away from showing off. The amount of donations we have received in a year is 100 million TL. Since our surroundings are like a ring of fire, we have to be strong. We have to bring domestic and national technology to the fore and stay awake all the time.”
