April 23 event was held at Selçuk University
An event was held at Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences Nasreddin Hoca Practice Kindergarten on the occasion of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Earthquake-affected children staying in KYK dormitories in Alaeddin Keykubat Campus also participated in the program.
Speaking at the program, which started with the reading of the National Anthem after a moment of silence, Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences Nasreddin Hoca Practice Kindergarten Director Türkan Yiğit Kolçak said, “We have come a long way in pre-school education from past to present. With the understanding of 'One child changes, the world changes', we always emphasized the importance of the early years and aimed to ensure that more of our children participate in education. Touching the values of the future, educating them correctly and transforming them correctly is our greatest happiness and duty.”
Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan said, “As Selçuk University, we see our children as the most valuable being in the world and we care them. We strive for the physical, mental, educational, social, cultural and emotional development of our puppies, without compromising on quality. "April 23 Children's Day, which does not exist in any country in the world, is the greatest indicator of the value our nation attaches to children."
"23RD OF APRIL CREATES A CLIMATE OF PEACE"
Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said: "On April 23rd, not only our children in Turkey, but also thousands of children from all over the world come to our country. Together with these children, we make a very important contribution to world peace and tranquility. A climate of peace is created. We remember Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms who gave us this holiday with mercy."
Friendship Class students presented a gift to Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken and the program ended with the performances of Love Class, Trust Class, Happiness Class, Kindness Class, Respect Class and Friendship Class students.
