Speaking at the 9 May Europe Day event held at Selçuk University Equestrian Social Facilities, Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said, "European Union projects are very important for our country, our city, civil society and our University. With such projects, students are informed about European Union projects and the internationalization coefficient of our University increases. Students learn how European Union projects are prepared, their content and how they are accepted before starting university."

Providing information about European Union projects and institutions within the European Union, Selçuk University Erasmus+ Institution Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zerrin Savaşan said: "Currently, as Erasmus+ units, we can cooperate not only with European countries but also with Asian and African countries with the status of partner countries. We have been a candidate country to the European Union since 1999 and since 2000, we have been celebrating 9 May as Europe Day as European Union Information Centers, institutions working with the European Union and Erasmus+ offices."
