'Smart and Green Campus Project' comes to life at Selçuk University

Within the scope of the "Smart and Green Campus Implementation Project", Selçuk University (SU) and KOP Regional Development Administration started the installation of energy analyzers in the buildings of SU Alaeddin Keykubat Campus.

Project coordinator Selçuk University Faculty of Technology Faculty Member Dr. Assist. Prof. Gül Nihal Güğül said in a statement that within the framework of the project led by the Faculty of Technology of SU, it is aimed to install 100 energy analyzers in 75 buildings in the campus area. Güğül stated that with the project, they aim to increase efficiency by reducing energy consumption in the SU Alaeddin Keykubat Campus and stated that their work continues in order to carry out energy measurement and management.

"SMART BUILDING MANAGEMENT MODULE PROTOTYPE WILL BE CREATED"

Güğül stated that the project will make a significant contribution to the "Smart and Green Campus" status of Selçuk University and said: "Efficiency application points will be determined by making the necessary analyzes with the measured data and the software to be developed. The project will include a centralized platform for measuring energy consumption that provides real-time information to users. In the first phase of the project, under the title of 'Green Campus', electricity consumption measurements will be made in the buildings to be determined on the campus campus. Under the title of 'Smart Campus', a prototype 'Smart Building Management Module' will be created with different parameters and sensors. With the software to be developed with domestic and national facilities, it is aimed to create a role model in energy management on a regional and national scale. We believe that software development within the scope of the project will make a great contribution to our students in gaining professional competencies. As the project team, we would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and the President of KOP Regional Development Administration Mahmut Sami Şahin for their great efforts in the realization of this project."
