Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz, who has been appointed as the Rector of Selçuk University, officially took over the position from Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy in a handover ceremony. During the ceremony held at the Rectorate building, Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy stated, “May God grant you success, and may He open your path. I believe you will provide great services. I take pride in handing over such a prestigious institution as Selçuk University. May God bless you with goodness in this new term. Congratulations!”

In his remarks after taking over the position, Rector of Selçuk University, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz thanked Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy for his services and presented him with flowers. Yılmaz expressed his honor in becoming the Rector of Selçuk University and said, “I would like to thank our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Chairman of the Council of Higher Education Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar for entrusting me with this position. We will prioritize projects that will further enhance the atmosphere of peace, security, and scientific success at our university. Strengthening university-industry collaboration and ensuring that our students and academics can work in a more comfortable and secure environment will be among our main goals. We will work tirelessly to elevate Selçuk University to higher scientific levels.”
