"WE ARE ALMOST SURROUNDED BY DIGITAL DEVICES"
Stating that digital addiction is a type of addiction caused by excessive and uncontrolled use of technological devices such as phones, computers, smart devices, game consoles and tablets, Küçükbezirci said: "Mankurtlaştırmak (Manipulation) is a concept that includes alienation from national identity, alienation from society and culture, and unconsciousness through the reconstruction of the mind. With the development of technology, new types of addiction have emerged and digital addiction is among the biggest threats facing the world. As technology has made our lives easier, the digital devices we use have become an integral part of our lives. All individuals in society, especially young people, have started to live in an environment surrounded by digital devices. While this situation offers the opportunity to benefit from the blessings of technology, it also carries some serious risks and disadvantages, especially for young people. It causes many people to continue their lives without even realizing that they are addicted to technology."
Küçükbezirci gave information about the biological, personal and social effects of addiction caused by excessive and uncontrolled use of digital media such as smartphones, internet and social media, and explained preventive mechanisms and ways to cope with digital addiction.
