Selçuk University (SU) Faculty of Dentistry 2020-2021 academic year graduation ceremony was held with the participation of Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci and Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci said at the ceremony held in front of the Keykubad Mansion that the students completed a challenging and important process in their education life by graduating from Selçuk University, one of Turkey's strong and dynamic universities. Prof. Dr. Çiftci stated that young dentists have opened a new page in their lives with the title of "medicine", which is one of the most difficult and sacred professions in the world that requires dedication and devotion, thanks to their hard work and efforts, and he also said: "You have obtained a new key. I believe that this key will open many different doors for you. I sincerely wish you a very successful life. Work hard and be aware of the white coat you are wearing. Getting a white coat means that we whiten our sincerity, empathy, compassion and our work. Never forget this. As you succeed, as you pass through successful doors, we will be proud of you and we will be pleased with your success. May every patient you touch find healing."

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken stated that there is no age for reading and learning. Stating that dentistry is among the innovative professions, Prof. Dr. Eken said, "Your profession is constantly open to innovations and technology. You need to improve yourself in the profession. Therefore, never lose contact with the profession and being a student. Our professors who trained you are people who have projects and patents at national and international level. Do not stop communicating with our professors; continue to get information from them. The technical infrastructure of our Faculty of Dentistry and our university will always be open to you. Continue to benefit from it. You are graduating from an ancient and well-established university. I wish you great success in your future life and professional life."

Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Kalaycı stated that his students went through a difficult educational process and said, “Dentistry education is an education that requires financial, moral and physical standing. Our children have now become our colleagues. They succeeded in this too. “I wish our children success and long lives in their future lives.”

After the speeches, the young dentists took the "medical oath". At the ceremony where the certificates were presented to the students who ranked well, 130 students were given their diplomas. The ceremony, attended by faculty members, dentists and families, ended with the cap throwing ceremony.
