"EFFICIENT USE OF PUBLIC RESOURCES IS VERY IMPORTANT"

As an administration that developed the Green Campus project, established a waste center for the recycling of solid waste and is currently implementing the Smart Campus project, we have sufficient experience for the 'Konya Smart City Strategy and Roadmap Project'. The aim of our projects is to be the first university in Turkey to have the status of 'Green and Smart Campus' with all its details. Selçuk University has already taken important steps towards becoming a 'Green Campus'. The 'Zero Waste Project' has been implemented on campus and waste bins have been placed in all buildings."

Reminding that Selçuk University Renewable and Clean Energy Application and Research Center was established with the aim of initiating and conducting multidisciplinary studies on energy within Selçuk University, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, "Among the main objectives of the center are to determine research priorities related to renewable and clean energy, to develop and propose the necessary policies and strategies, and to carry out the necessary studies for the implementation of the developed policies and strategies. In addition, we aim to draw the attention of institutions and organizations, academic staff and students at our University to renewable and clean energy sources, and to raise awareness about the importance of renewable and clean energy in different segments of society."
